I thought the face of the watch was small, but apparently, my 9 year old nephew is more concerned about impressing by showing off his cool watch. As a teacher, I see kids in middle school who do not know how to tell time with mechanical clocks, so I'm glad to reinforce that skill....as well as to help out in the "cool" scene.
